We have a team of highly experienced professionals with extensive experience in advising students and families in their educational and career journeys.
Paul Gore, PhD
Dr. Gore has 30-years’ experience in higher education as a professor, co-director of a first-year college student success program, academic program director, dean, and vice president of academic affairs. He has consulted with dozens of colleges and universities in the U.S. and abroad on career development and student success programs and has trained hundreds of practicing school couselors.
He is the co-developer of three measures of student strengths that are used to help students thrive during their first year in college, the lead author of Connections: Empowering College and Career Success, 3rd ed. (2022), Macmillan Learning, and the author of over 70 research articles and books in the areas of student and career success and counseling.
Dr Gore has advised thousands of students at all stages of college and is passionate about helping students make a successful transition from high school to college.

Dr. Gore earned his bachelor’s degree in psychology and biology from Saint Louis University, his masters of science in applied biopsychology from the University of New Orleans, his masters of education in community and family counseling from Northeastern Illinois University, and his PhD in counseling psychology from Loyola University of Chicago.

Lisa Kidd, MPA, MA
Lisa has worked as a public school educator and higher education researcher for the last seven years. Her experience as a teacher, researcher and mother of three college and college-bound children position her to bring a truly unique approach to supporting families through the college search process. ​​​ Finding the best-fit for our students who are ready to take the next step in their education can feel daunting. Lisa brings her experiences, education, and familiarity with the college selection process to students and their parents in a reassuring and compassionate way.

Lisa earned her bachelor and master of arts degree from McMaster University. She also completed a Master of Public Administration degree and is currently working towards a teaching degree. Prior to her work in public education, Lisa coordinated a national student success survey designed to promote college success. As a manager of research and data analysis she worked directly with hundreds of colleges and universities providing data to support and improve higher ed student success programs. Recently she leveraged her passion for student success working in special education and mathematics education in the public K-12 system. Her experience in both K-12 and universities and her passion for student success education are valuable assets when working with highschool college-bound students.
