What to Expect

Many students and parents wonder what to expect when engaging a Pervigeo consultant. For the most part you expect it to be like interacting with a high school teacher or school counselor - but always one on one. There will be virtual video meetings during which our consultant will get to know you and your current thoughts about college choices you're considering. There will be assignments with deadlines, you'll complete some surveys and have conversations about the results.

Meanwhile - in between video sessions your consultant will be hard at work analyzing the data provided by the conversations and surveys to help identify possible colleges and even college majors that are aligned with your preferences. Towards the end of your work with us, one of our consultants will provide you feedback on your application essays and help you narrow down your list of schools to a more manageable number (we think 10 is a good number but you may be more focused and have fewer in mind).

It is by no means an overwhelming process - in fact our goal is to make it manageable! Having said that, you need to take the process seriously, keep up with the assigned tasks in between sessions, and be open to considering ideas and college destinations suggested by your consultant. Ultimately where you apply and attend college is YOUR choice. Our goal is to help you make the best choice so that once you arrive on campus you'll be well prepared to progress smoothly and succeed.
